Aion Updates
| So, about the faction of Chosen Existence Posted by: Shade, Jul 21 2008, 03:04 PM Since the creation of Chosen Existence, we've come an extremely long way. It's been over a year, and a lot of us have come to know each other very well. We've played multiple games together, communicating through the forums very frequently, and talking through Ventrilo has brought us very close, and it's becoming quite obvious what we're evolving into. We're on the path we need to be; we're on the path of dominating the competition, and being among the best in the world of Aion. The real competition won't start until retail launch, that's when the competition will get interesting. Because of that, we need to lock onto our goals; we need to lock onto it, and obtain our goals and aspirations. So, after much debate, we came to a conclusion to what faction we'll be playing as. Realistically, player populations are going to be similar, neither side will be outnumbered by much, and both factions are very similar in terms of skills, abilities, and even looks - the variation isn't that great. Environments won't matter that much, since a lot of time will be spent in the Abyss, and the average player maturity will be very similar. It won't be a situation similar to World of Warcraft, where a bunch of kids played as Alliance, things will be much more balanced. It became even more obvious that both factions will be balanced when the developers introduced the Asmodian's new wings; changing their image into fallen angels. So, onto our chosen faction. Turns out, we're going Elyos. Whether or not you agree with the decision, I don't really care. It'll probably take a while to realise that both factions are more similar than you thought they would be. The principles are still there; everything we've been waiting for are still there, and most importantly, the challenge is just as fierce, if not more so than if we were to go Asmodian. After all, we'll be taking any challenge we face, and not only survive it, but master it. Things could be much more interesting on the Elyos side, considering most 'hardcore' legions are going Asmodian. On to other news... We'll be switching to our dedicated server soon, so look forward to that. Things will be faster, and it'll further support the features coming in the following months. Also, while we're at it, why not suggest a feature? If there's something you'd like to see, then feel free to suggest it. Oh, and don't forget to be active! Try to get onto Ventrilo, and post on the forums regularly. Would be appreciated greatly~ |
